CEO & President

Giora Davidovits

Giora brings decades of management experience across major healthcare and consumer-health organizations, including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Laboratories and Rorer Consumer Pharmaceuticals, together with research experience at Ortho Diagnostics. He founded and served as a senior partner of CorInsight LLC and previously led ABC Diabetes. His background spans commercialization, product launch and business development across multiple healthcare categories. Giora holds a BA in Biochemistry from Brandeis University and an MBA from Cornell University.

Chief Operating Officer

Eyal Davidovits

Eyal brings more than 20 years of experience in operations, finance, marketing, business development and strategic partnerships. His background includes leadership roles at Intel and Marvell as well as senior-partner responsibilities at CorInsight LLC, where he founded the firm’s Israel office. His experience includes evaluating strategic partnerships and joint ventures, managing finance and operations, and developing major corporate accounts. He holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and Business Studies from Coventry University in the UK.

EVP, Research & Development

Dr. Shafrira Shai

Dr. Shai has extensive management and R&D experience in advanced medical diagnostics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Her work has covered the path from invention through development and commercialization of non-invasive diagnostic systems. She founded BioShaf Ltd and has served as CEO of several start-up companies. Dr. Shai holds a D.Sc. from the Technion Faculty of Medicine and completed postdoctoral research in the UK, including work related to cancer therapy.

EVP, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs

Dr. Ian G. Welsford

Dr. Ian Welsford has over 25 years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs and clinical affairs involving medical devices, drugs and combination products. He has extensive experience establishing and certifying quality systems across biotechnology, drug development, genomics, IVD, software and medical-device organizations. He has directed clinical trials in oncology, diabetes, metabolic disease and CNS therapies, and has held senior roles covering quality, regulatory, certification, global regulatory strategy and clinical strategy. Dr. Welsford holds a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Kentucky and completed postdoctoral training in protein biochemistry and molecular pharmacology.

Chief Financial Officer

Robbie Manis

Robbie Manis has more than 20 years of experience across accounting, taxation, investment banking, private equity and business development. A chartered accountant by training, he has worked with investment banks across multiple financing disciplines and has also served as a senior business and investment analyst for a private merchant bank focused on private-equity investments. Robbie holds a BA in Commerce from McGill University and was admitted as a certified public accountant in Quebec.

Principal Investigator & Inventor

Prof. Fernando Patolsky

Prof. Fernando Patolsky is a scientist at Tel Aviv University whose work spans chemistry, nanobiotechnology and biosensing. He earned his PhD in Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University. His scientific work has received multiple awards, and he has authored numerous highly cited peer-reviewed publications and patents. His research and invention experience forms an important part of the scientific foundation behind Savicell’s technology.

Principal Investigator & Clinical Lead

Prof. Yochai Adir, MD, FCCP

Prof. Yochai Adir is a pulmonary physician and clinician-scientist with decades of experience in lung disease and bronchoscopy. He has held senior leadership roles in pulmonary medicine at Carmel Medical Center and within Israel’s lung-disease community, and he is a faculty member at the Technion. Prof. Adir completed his medical studies at the Technion and previously served in senior medical leadership in the Israeli Navy. His clinical and research expertise supports Savicell’s lung-cancer development program.

Peter C. Gonze

Peter C. Gonze is a senior healthcare executive with more than four decades of leadership experience across Fortune 500 companies, growth-stage businesses and start-ups. His background includes diagnostics, biotechnology, immunotherapeutics, pharmaceuticals and clinical research organizations. He has held executive roles at organizations including Averion International, Advanced Immune Therapeutics, Unither Pharmaceuticals, Abbott Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, and has served in board and advisory roles supporting development-stage healthcare companies.
